THANK YOU

We need to start out by saying a huge THANK YOU to both of our families!!! The 31st of January I got the flu and since then someone in our house has been sick. Everyone has been so great about helping about.... so Macie didn't get the flu, we could go out for our anniversary & Valentine's day, and just to take her so mommy & daddy could get a good night sleep. I don't think any of you have any idea how huge it is & we both appreciate it so very, very much!

We are back to daycare & work tomorrow morning so cross your fingers that Ms. Macie stays healthy! We hope everyone had a great weekend & enjoyed the Daytona race!

Update...

I thought I would post an update - things seems to be looking better. Monday night and Tuesday night were REALLY long nights, she didn't want to go to bed and then was up every two hours if not every hour and just not herself. But last night night we got her to bed about 10:30, she didn't wake up till 2:45, had a bottle and went back to bed... woke again @ 6:00, had a bottle and slept another hour. Hopefully now that she has had two full days of med's we are going in the right direction. I will try and update again this weekend. Happy Valentine's Day to everyone and to all the Nascar fans enjoy Daytona on Sunday :) YAAA!

Back to the doctor...

Well we had a very long night last night and a very unhappy girl :( She was up every couple of hours and every time she would cough, she would start crying really hard. We were up from 4:00 until about 5:15, just not happy and could not get comfortable. Then when she woke up at 7:00 she was VERY unhappy and that is just not like her at all! So we called auntie Katie and went back in to see Benson this afternoon... she has a bulging left ear! Good news though they tested her airway again from the RSV and that has gotten better. He said her green in running down the back of her throat as much as it is coming out her nose. We are on Amoxicillin and hanging out the rest of the week at home. So we are hoping that by the end of the weekend we can FINALLY kick all of this she has had going on for the past month or so once and for all!!!

Well we are back from the doctor... but not a whole lot is different! He said she does have a little in her lungs, but not enough to be concerned about. It is still RSV, but he thinks the worst part of it was probably Saturday & she should only get better. He said to keep her home from daycare & just keep her full of fluids. So I am going to do everything I can to keep her as comfortable as possible. Have a good week & hopefully the next time I post we will have a healthy baby girl!

Sick, Sick, Sick, RSV...

Sorry for not updating for so long - as you can probably guess our household has not been healthy! The dr. said actually Macie probably keeps giving Kent & I our colds (so sweet of her to share with mommy & daddy). I had the flu last week, double ear infection this week & Macie & daddy have had bad colds. For some reason Macie can not kick this cold & we just don't know what to do? Last night she had a temp of 102 so we decided to bring her in, just to make sure it wasn't something worse. We got to ER at 8:15 pm & at about 12:40 am we were on our way home.... But we did find out she tested positive for RSV. We are suppose to keep an eye on her & bring her into Dr. Benson (her regular dr.) on Monday. He also said her right ear was a little red. She actually had a really good night - she woke up at 5:00 for a bottle & then didn't wake up again till 9:00 (Note... she did not sleep in ER but maybe 30 minutes, too afraid she might miss something). So we have just hung out at home & tried to keep her as comfortable as possible. I will update again tomorrow after her dr. appt.
