5 months... Cereal

Kent and I were just talking ~ 5 months ago we were sitting at the hospital for over 14 hours, stuck at an 8 waiting for our precious daughter (or son) to arrive. We can not believe how much she has changed in that time! This last week we had some really rough nights, she has started getting up more often and eating every four hours throughout the night. Our dr. really didn't want her to start cereal till 6 months. But after talking to Nurse Katie (thank goodness for auntie Katie - we bug her A LOT) we got the OK to go ahead with it... IT WAS A HIT! She loved it! After the first bite she opened her mouth every time she seen food on the spoon.

Daddy's Birthday

Saturday night daddy and I went out with a bunch of friends to celebrate daddy's birthday (and his friend Justin's). Justin's girlfriend organized a "short bus" that brought 14 of us bar hopping and to the pork chop fry to celebrate the boys' birthday's. I have posted a couple pictures below & I will try and get a few more on. We had a lot of fun and Macie enjoyed her slumber party with Grandma Linda!

Bunnies....

Friday I took Macie out to Drummers to get her picture taken with the "Easter Bunnies" If you look at the bottom 3, she has one of the actually bunnies on her right hand side. I don't think she really realized what was going on?!

1st time swimming

We went down to watch my nephews at state wrestling this past weekend in Rochester.... Macie went swimming for the 1st time. I don't think she really knew what to think... she didn't really laugh/smile, but she didn't cry or even look sad. I think there was just so much going on and so many kids!
Every time we say she is getting so fun, she does something even better. We had her laughing so hard on Saturday night she was snorting... I think daddy & I were laughing just as hard.

4 Month Check Up

We had Macie's 4 month check up this morning (it was suppose to be 2 weeks ago but her dr. had a family emergency). She of course is healthy & PERFECT!!!

Her height is 26" (97%) Her weight is 16.6# (95%) Her head is 17.25 (99%)

It was pajama day today at daycare so that was nice that she can lay around in her pj's and feel comfortable after those yucky shots! I hope everyone is able to enjoy the wonderful weather this weekend!

Watching the Bellagio water show from ontop of the Eiffel Tower @ Paris THE STRATOSPHERE - Troy, Cindy & I did the "Big Shot" ontop of the Stratosphere. It shoots you up 160 feet at 45 mph until you are 1,081 above the strip - IT WAS AWESOME!

The pictures below are from the roller coster that is ontop of the New York, New York hotel. One of the drops is 144 feet, with speeds up to 67 mph.

We also did the roller coaster "Speed" at the Sahara hotel (Cindy sat that one out) - it slingshots you out, you go from 0-45 mph in 2 seconds. You drop 25 feet below the surface and stop 224 feet above ground.... and then go backwards to the start.

Tooth Fairy

I know she doesn't have any teeth yet... so how can we be thinking about the tooth fairy!?
The tooth fairy came to visit her daycare today! Her cousin Taylor is at the same daycare in the "preschool room", so they got their picture taken together with the tooth fairy.

Nascar

Sorry I have not updated for a little while... daddy & I just got back from Las Vegas! We went out there with my brother Troy & my sister-in-law Cindy for the Nascar race - It was a blast!!! We left Friday morning & got back yesterday. Both grandparents took her while we were gone & it went really well... after she gave grandma Linda a run for her money :)
As we were getting up Friday morning @ 3:30 I got a text from my mom - she had a 102 temp & was not herself. My mom ended up bringing her in...and she had a ROUGH doctors appt. They couldn't figure out what was wrong so they wanted to do some blood work. They had a very hard time getting blood from her - mom said they poked around on one said (she was screaming of course), then they went to the other side... still screaming...still no luck... and Grandma Linda almost passed out on the floor herself...so they sent her over to the main clinic... still no luck - in the end they had to take it out of her finger (poor girl)! They did find through the blood work that she had some sort of infection & they put her on some meds. We had a really good trip - went to the race of course, saw a couple shows, walked a lot & just enjoyed some mommy & daddy time. The race was really good except Jr didn't win (it's all Gordan's fault)! It was so good to get back to Macie, we missed her SO MUCH! But it was back to reality today.... we are home because Macie has the flu! That's ok though, I don't mind having snuggle time. Take care & I will post pictures soon!
