Macie's 1st Halloween

Lil Pun'kin
Mom already has me in dance clothes - my feet look like I have ballet shoes on :)
4 Generations We are all doing really good! The plan is for us to go home tomorrow morning, so we are excited to sleep in our own bed. Macie is doing wonderful - she has been taking to the feedings great! Thank you to EVERYONE who came to visit! I know when some of you came there were a lot of people here at times, but please feel free to stop down and visit anytime. Macie is a very lucky little girl to be loved by so many people. I have posted some more pictures but I have a feeling I am going to be one of those mom's that always has her camera in her hand. Happy Halloween to everyone from Kent, Sara and Macie!!!

Macie Leigh Evans is finally here!

Macie Leigh Evans made her big arrival finally this morning @ 3:14 am. She was 9 pounds, 8 ounces & 21 inches long. It was a VERY long day but all three of us are doing great! I finally reached a 10 at about midnight and they had me start to push. I pushed for about an hour and started to get a really bad pain in my lower stomach. She told me I had at least an hour of pushing left, and I didn't think I had it in me with the pain. We called Dr. Gildner and he said I had already had a long enough day and we should get that baby out - of course I was all about that. We had people running all around in our room and before I knew I could not feel my lower half and I was on my way down the hall to surgury. The surgury itself went well, but after seeing how big our little princess was Gildner said I would have never been able to have her on my own. Not only was she big, she had the cord wrapped around her twice and was "sunny side up". All we were waiting for was those three words - IT'S A ??? Daddy and I were both very excited to finally meet her. As we get more pictures I will post them - thank you to everyone for thinking of us!

Still here

We're still here! She started to feel the contractions not long after the pitocin was going and they had broke her water. They weren't painful until about 1 p.m. and then she started to feel some pain. At that time decided it was time for nubain. The nubain basically kicked in just in time that she didn't feel the needle go in her back for the epidural! And all is good now! At the time of the epidural she was at an almost 4 and more than 90% effaced. So we just hang out and wait!

We're here

Well we made it to the hospital and they even got the I.V. in the first time with no passing out!! They have started the pitocin and will break her water when the doctor gets up here.

Baby Evans coming soon

Well I am still at a two and the doctor decided it was time to get things started, so..... I am getting induced tomorrow! Hopefully at this time tomorrow we are mommy and daddy - I know we have a lot of others waiting for this little miracle too. We will make phone calls and/or send out text messages after our precious one is here. If you don't hear from us, it's just because the little one is taking his/her time coming out. But we promise as soon as our son or daughter is out we will let you all know. We will be VERY excited to share our news. Thank you to everyone for checking on us and thinking of us. The soon to be proud mommy and daddy!!!

Overdue!

We are now oficially OVERDUE! We made it through the wedding and had a blast! Mandy looked beautiful (Kyle looked good too) and the day was a lot of fun. I danced as much as I could, but still no baby. That's ok - we still had a ton of fun! So I guess it is off to that dr. appointment tomorrow that my dr. didn't think he would see me at. I will update again after my appt. Try and stay warm with this wind and snow -yuck!

No change

I know a lot of people are wondering, so I thought I would post a quick update. There has been no change... no pain, no contractions, still feeling great! Baby and I had a talk this morning on the way to work and I told him/her that now he/she should just wait until Sunday to make the big appearance. Then we don't have to worry about still being in the hospital for the wedding, going into labor during the wedding or where daddy's at when the time comes. So we are going to plan on going to the wedding with baby Evans still in hidding. Have a good rest of the week and I will update the blog if anything shall change.

Dr. Appt. Changed

No baby over the weekend! I did get a phone call this morning saying Dr. Gildner had to be out of the office tomorrow and they asked if I could come in this morning at 9:30 instead? Of course, I was all about it! Heartbeat was 148 and I am still at a two, but he thinks I am going to go this week. He said my cervix is thinning a lot and he was pushing on the head :) - ya! I will keep the blog updated as things change. He did have me set up an appointment for next Monday, but he said it was just a "back up plan" and he would be very surprised if he saw me.
Have a good week from the Evans family!

Great idea

So last night I got this great idea in my head that daddy and I should go for a 4 wheeler ride. It started out that we were just going to take a ride to my brother & sister-in-laws (which is at the top of our hill). My brother Troy was in the field over at his in-laws and needed supper so I volunteered us to bring it over to him on the 4 wheeler. We took some ditches, some fields, but nothing. Had to post the picture- it was pretty funny!

Still nothing

Just an update... the "stretching" did nothing. I NEVER thought I would be sad not to be in pain?! We went on a family walk (Kent, Maggie and I) up the Judson hill Tuesday night and last night grandma Linda and I walked on the walking track out at our school for about 45 minutes. If you know me at all, I am NOT good at being patient! I said to Kent last night, I have waited 270 days, isn't that long enough? I think I would be a little better at letting nature take it's course if I knew I would not go next weekend, even if it ment going over. Kent is a groomsmen is our friends (Kyle & Mandy's) wedding, and I just fear that I will go Friday night or Saturday sometime. So if you have any good tips for me drop them my way - ask my husband, I am trying several different things; walking, sitting on the exercise ball, walking up & down the steps, eating pineapple - and my husband just sits in the recliner and laughs at me :)

Still at a two :(

No change, we are still only at a 2! He did stretch my membranes in hopes to get some contractions started, so we’ll see?! I have heard from other people that have had this done though and it didn’t make a difference for them. He said he is on call on Friday and hopes to see me then, but who knows? I have another appointment scheduled for next Tuesday (not until 5:15 though-bummer). I will post again after that, unless something happens between now and then. Otherwise... up the hills I will walk and try and be patient!

*Heartbeat was 149 again

Daddy's Ducks

Daddy went hunting and didn’t get “the phone call”. They got like 42 ducks and 2 geese, so had a good weekend. We laughed last night as Kent was going on like 6 hours of sleep from the whole weekend that I would go into labor because he was so tired - but no baby last night. I go into the doctor again tomorrow, so I will update again after that. When I was there last week he told me I “didn’t have any room left” so we’ll see what he says tomorrow. I am still feeling great so if he says see you next week, well then I guess that is what we will do
