Macie's 1st Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving, I know we did. We went to my cousin Jeff's and his fiance Vanessa's here in Nicollet, it was nice that we didn't have to go very far. It was a very relaxing day and of course Macie was spolied. She woke up that morning at 4:00 am and slept very little through out that day, but that night slept 8 hours :)... although it hasn't happend again since then...

Last night Macie went to her first hockey game to watch her cousin/godmother Kalley. Kalley did awesome!!! They won like 14-1 (they stopped keeping score after 9) and she scored 3 goals!

Just a couple cute pictures I thought I would post below - Our 1st Thanksgiving outfit and Macie all snuggled in her blanket with her daddy! She is really starting to change - she is smiling more, starting to talk/make noises.

Macie's Baptism

Macie, Mom & Dad Macie & her godparents; Andy (Kent's brother-in-law), Kalley (Sara's niece) & Katie (Kent's sister) Macie & her Grandma & Grandpa Hewitt Macie & her Grandma & Grandpa Evans Sorry I have not updated a lot, Macie keeps us very busy. We are all doing very well...I can't believe she's almost a month old already. We had baptism today, she was a great girl all day! After baptism we all came back to our place for a lot of great food - thank you to everyone who brought food and helped out in the kitchen. Last night she slept 6 hours at one stretch, but I'm not going to hold my breath for that to happen very often. She seems to be doing good with formula, so cross your fingers things continue to go well. Happy Thanksgiving to all from the Evans family - Kent, Sara & Macie

Busy Morning

Well we have had a very busy morning so far, Macie had her two week check up and all went well. We are still working on the "gas issue", I think we are going to maybe try formula and see if that changes things. Otherwise she is doing great - she is 21-1/4" long (96%) and she weights 10.0 pounds (99%). After that we were off to mommy's appointment and the doc said everything looked great.

We also got a really cool phone call last week from "Mankato Magazine" and they came out and interviewed us this morning. Their January issue is on "new beginnings" and Macie is going to be on the cover. They came and took some pictures of Macie and our family (moms going to look hot in the pictures, because she thought they were only taking pictures of Macie) and interviewed dad and mom.

On our own

After a great weekend Macie and I are on our own today. Daddy was off last week to spend the week at home with his girls, but it's back to the real world today. So far, so good. I think we finally figured out her little "fussy spells" so that's great.
We had a great weekend! Grandma Linda came down on Friday night and Macie had her first babysitter. Dad & I ran to town to get some much needed clothes for dad. Then grandma spent the night so daddy could try and catch up on his sleep before going back to work and to help mommy out. I still had to get up to pump, but it helped tons - THANK YOU SO MUCH GRANDMA!
Saturday Kent's aunt & uncle were up from Windom and his cousin's were home from Arizona with their little boy, so we all hung out at Grandma & Grandpa Evans for the day. It was just a low key, kick back day, but so good to see everyone.
Yesterday we just hung out at home and had some bonding time- Jamie & Katie came to visit us (thanks guys).
We are all doing great! She is starting to be awake more and more during the day so that's a lot of fun. Hope everyone has a great week!

Family update

Since she was our honeymoon baby :)

Sorry for the lack of updates, but we are trying to adjust to everything our new life is throwing at us. We are all doing great and it's really good to be home. Wow I can't believe Macie is over a week old already! I think we are starting to get on a schedule now but it took a little while to get things figured out (thanks auntie/nurse Katie for all the help). We have of course had some long nights - that seems to be her fussy time, but we're working on it. I never knew having a little one would be this awesome! Dad and I spend a lot of time just watching her sleep and all of the different facial expressions she makes. I will try and update again soon. Just wanted to let everyone know we are doing real good. Hope you enjoy the pictures from our photo shoot.
