Weekend/Konnor

Well we made it through the weekend :). My "little" cousin (I say that because that is what he has always been to me, but by all means he does not look like my little cousin) got married Saturday! They had a perfect day, it was a beautiful wedding! They got married in Mapleton & their reception was at the Best Western. It was a very fun day, but makes you so tired after :) Grandma & Grandpa Evans were kind of enough to take Macie for the day and keep her overnight. I was personal attendant, so I would be busy, plus she would want to get down and run. So we just decided she would have more fun playing with G&G. Daddy did go and get her for a little bit after the wedding, before the dinner so everyone was able to see her. I will post pictures soon, it was very pretty. Mommy slept in until 10:00 yesterday :)

On a not as happy note, we want to ask everyone to say an extra prayer for a little boy named Konner. I work with Konner's dad Kris and Konner is only two months older than Macie. Konner was diagnosed with Epilepsy in April and this past week it took a turn for the worse. He had a 3 hour seizure.. they ended up putting him in a drug induced coma and he is now in the ICU at Children's. He suffered too long of a seizure and is going to suffer brain damage. Worse case his brain continues to swell and he dies or it stops swelling but he goes into a vegetated state. They took him off his drugs keeping him in his coma at 5:00 Saturday night, but as of 9:00 last night, he had not come too yet. They will not know how bad things are until he comes too. Please keep Konner & his family in your prayers!

Rough week

Poor Macie had kind of a rough week this past week :( It started Wednesday & Thursday at daycare she didn't really want to eat or nap (which is not normal for her). Thursday night she was up every 2-3 hours.... Friday morning I got a call from daycare & went out there so they could give her some Tylenol... talked to daycare again about 2:30 she didn't want to eat or nap, so I snuck out of work a little early & we headed for home. I was able to get her to take an hour nap, so that was nice. Saturday & today we have had a very green & runny nose :( we know she is getting her top two teeth so I'm hoping that's all it is! It's just really unlike her to be a sad girl! Yesterday she was still not wanting to nap & not eating like she usually does & then today it was the total opposite.... she napped for like 6 hours total & was in bed by 8:00. Just not sure if it's her teeth on top of a cold or what the story is? I guess we'll just wait & see... The 1st top tooth you can see the white & the 2nd one you can see is pushing right behind it, so hopefully as soon as the 2nd one gets through this will all get better. Have a great week!

P.S. Baby & I are still doing good! Thursday morning I felt really good & thought maybe the whole nauseous thing was done... NOPE too good to be true! Oh well, we'll be done with it soon!

Adding to our family

Yes you read it right - we are excited to announce we are adding to our family! Baby Evans is due to arrive March 18th! I will be 10 weeks this Thursday, we were going to try and wait to tell everyone after the "12 week mark" but impressed I made it this long. When we went to see Dr Benson (Macie's Dr) for her 9 months check up he asked how I was feeling? My answer was "not very good".... with Macie I felt AWESOME the whole time, never got sick, never nauseous, awesome pregnancy - this baby, not so much! His response was "I think we have a pencil"! BUT like Macie everyone will have to wait till arrival day to find out if Macie has a baby brother or sister! I will keep you posted as this move along!

If you look X to X... that's baby Evans :)

Camping

Kent & I went camping this past weekend & had a blast! We had an "adult weekend"...we went to Stockholm, WI with our friends Tony & Miranda. We had to camp sites right on the river, brought the jet ski's with and had a lot of fun! Some riding, lots of eating, relaxing, just a really good time! Thank you to Grandma & Grandpa Evans for taking her all weekend & Grandma Linda for taking her Thursday night!!! This entry isn't very exciting, but I promise the next will be :)

Catching up

I am so sorry for the lack of updates... this week went by so fast! Monday I took Macie for her 9 month check up & she is doing great (no shots at this appt. either - yaaa)
Height: 28-1/2 (82 %)
Weight: 22.2 (94 %)
Head: 18.25 (96 %)
Tuesday we went to a "national night out party" at the neighbors. It was really nice to meet some of our neighbors. We also celebrated my birthday - dad & Macie got me the beautiful flowers below. Wednesday we had some friends over for the evening for a monthly event we call "Tony night" it was a lot of fun! And the rest of the week & weekend so far has just flown by. Macie is 100% on the move... crawling everywhere! She loves her walker, but I don't think we'll be walking real soon. She is pulling herself up onto things & is just curious about everything.

Good Weekend

We are having a good weekend so far... sorry no pictures! Yesterday Macie & I went to a baby shower for my friend Bonnie who is due September 15th! We are hoping for a baby girl - right now Macie has 2 "boyfriends" :) Bonnie looked awesome!

Then we were off to celebrate with my cousin Jeff & his fiance Vanessa's for their "last night out before the wedding". I meet up with the girls a BW3's ate a little, played some games & then headed back to Nicollet. Kent meet up with the boys at the Lamplighter, where I know they ate & then I think they headed back to Nicollet as well. We had a bomb fire at Jeff & Vanessa's house & hung out with friends & family, it was a good time. (I will have to get some pictures from the bride 2 be)....

So yes daddy is safely back home - Mom & Macie were so excited to see him!
