2 weeks old

Wow does time fly... 2 weeks old already! Everyone is still doing great! I had my check up on Monday & the dr said I was 99.9% so that was great! I am able to drive again & able to lift Macie - ya... that was a little hard on her. She said not to still lift anything heavier than Macie for about 6 weeks, but otherwise back to normal routine. Brayden had his 2 week check up today & he is also doing great! He does have a clogged left tear duct but Benson said that is very common (1 in 5 babies) because the ducts are so little & it will clear itself up within the 1st year. Otherwise everything was good... he is gaining weight - he now weighs 7 pounds 3 ounces (32%) he was 6 pounds 12 ounces at birth, he is still the same in length 20 3/4" (85 %). Macie is still doing just fine with him - she LOVES to shake his bottles for us otherwise not much interest in him. In the morning she has to go in & check him out if he's still sleeping... when she comes home from daycare she checks to see where he's at, but then is off to do her own thing & on her way to bed says "night night" to him! I will try & upload some pictures of the kids soon!

I'm sorry I have not been very good at posting! We are all doing great!!! We actually got to come home a day early from the hospital, so we were home by about 3:00 last Saturday. Brayden has been a GREAT baby... all he does is eat & sleep pretty much, so that makes the nights nice. He eats every 3-4 hours during the day & night right now. I am usually back in bed in about a 1/2 hour. Macie is doing great with her new brother - actually I think she forgets he's here half the time because he's so quiet. She is interested in his nuk, but we keep reminding her that it's for babies & hopefully she will lose interest in it soon. Since I had a c-section I can not lift Macie for 2 weeks so that is a little fustrating to her, she just doesn't understand?! Dad had the week off this past week to help me out after the surgery, but I am actually feeling really good (except somehow I got pink eye?). We went & took family photos yesterday so I have posted them in the post below... Have a good weekend!

It's a BOY!

Brayden Michael Evans was born yesterday @ 7:59 am. He was 6 pounds, 12 ounces, 20 3/4 long. Everything went good and we are all doing great!

We had to be to the hospital at 6:00, they started getting me prepped right away, I went off to surgery about 7:20-7:30 and Brayden made his big arrival at 7:59. He had a little struggle coming out, they had to use suction to get him out, but he did great! Started crying right away :).... daddy & Bradyen went down the hall for all his tests & for him to get cleaned up. I was on my way to recovery at 8:30 & got to hold our baby boy right around 9:00. He is doing great - sleeps all the time. We have only seen his eyes for maybe 5 minutes total & I am feeling really good, we even went for a couple walks already today.

Macie came up last night but wasn't too sure what she thought. I don't think she really understands. We'll see how it goes tonight when she comes up?!

The countdown is on...

Ok so the countdown has pretty much been on since we found out we were pregnant, but now we are in the single digits! I had my doctor's appointment yesterday, but really didn't find anything out. She did not "check me" just listened to the heartbeat - which was 145. She sent me over to ISJ so they could get my blood type (in case something goes wrong during the surgery) & something with my hemoglobin. Well I got over there & if you know me at all I DO NOT do well with needles! Yep I passed out!!! I made it through the 1st poke, but they couldn't get my blood to flow fast enough, so she had to take it out & try again with a bigger needle. Yep the 2nd one did it for me - uggg. I just wish I could be a big girl - LOL
She is having me come in again next Wednesday, so I will post again after that.

Macie is doing great! I think I am actually safe to say... SHE IS HEALTHY! I am starting to get nervous about how much this little baby is going to impact her life & how she will react?! I know she doesn't have any idea that there will soon be 4 of us!
